29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: 2609 Route 22, Fredericksburg, PA: At this establishment, the eye wash station, provided for employees exposed to corrosive chemicals including Ecolab Inspexx 150 (containing a mixture of Acetic acid, Peroxyacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide), was not accessible. Access to the eye wash station was obstructed by totes which prevented immediate emergency use on or about April 4, 2018. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: 2609 Route 22, Fredericksburg, PA: At this establishment, training provided to employees handling and exposed to corrosive chemicals including Ecolab Inspexx 150 (containing a mixture of Acetic acid, Peroxyacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide), was not adequate. On or about April 4, 2018 an employee who suffered chemical burns to his eyes was not trained on specific procedures and appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
