29 CFR 1910.147(d)(2): Machine or equipment shutdown. The machine or equipment shall be turned off or shut down using the procedures established for the machine or equipment. An orderly shutdown must be utilized to avoid any additional or increased hazard(s) to employees as a result of the equipment stoppage. a. On or about April 11, 2018, in the packing and slicing department, The employer failed to ensure that the employee conducted an orderly shutdown of the T-1 Discharge Conveyor for the Triomat machine in in accordance with the employer's established procedures for the shutdown and the employee's training.
