29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of silver listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 0.01 mg/m3. On or about May 1, 2018 an employee operating a spray gun in the Spray Booth was exposed to silver which exceeded the PEL of 0.01 mg/m3 by 420% during a sampling period of 438 minutes. Zero exposure was used for the unsampled portion of the shift.

29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): When employees were exposed to silver by 420% of the permissible exposure limit while operating a spray gun in the Spray Booth, feasible administrative or engineering controls, such as but not limited to using a spray gun extension wand, replacing spray booth tables (interfere with airflow) with open racks, and relocating mixing tables (turbulence) away from the Spray Booth.
