29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about April 24, 2018, employees performing residential framing operations were exposed to eye injuries while employees utilized a pneumatic nail fastener when the employer failed to ensure eye protection was utilized. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers shall be equipped with one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge. On or about April 24, 2018, employees performing framing operations on the second level at a multi-family property were exposed to a 12.3 foot fall when the employer failed to ensure a stairrail system was installed along stairs used by the employees to access the upper level. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about April 24, 2018, employees performing framing operations on the upper level at a multi-family property were exposed to a 12.3 foot fall when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized. The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1085119, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at South Green Castle Drive, Lot 10, Monee, Illinois 60449. No abatement certification or documentation is required of this item.
