29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employees were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period:      a) Norris Labs, Inc.: On April 26, 2018, and at times prior, employees processing ore were exposed to airborne lead levels at a concentration of 0.077 mg/m3 expressed as an 8-hour time weighted average. The exposures are approximately over 1.5 times the daily Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.050 mg/m3 based on a 285 minute sampling period; exposure calculations included zero-increment for 195 minutes not sampled.

29 CFR 1910.1450(d)(1): The employer did not measure the laboratory employee's exposure to a substance regulated by a standard which required monitoring when there was reason to believe that exposure levels for that substance routinely exceeded the action level or in the absence of an action level, the permissible exposure limit:          a) Norris Labs, Inc.: On April 26, 2018, and at times prior, employees processing ore were exposed to airborne lead levels at a concentration of 0.077 mg/m3 expressed as an 8-hour time weighted average. 29 CFR 1910.1450(f)(1): The employer did not provide laboratory employees with information and training to ensure that they were apprised of the hazards of chemicals present in their work area:    a) Norris Labs, Inc.: On April 26, 2018, and at times prior, employees were exposed to substances, such as, but not limited to; lead, cadmium, inorganic arsenic, hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid), nitrogen dioxide (nitric acid), Propan-2-one (acetone), nickel II oxide (nickel monoxide), copper II sulfate pentahydrate (blue vitriol), hydrogen cyanide and sodium hydroxide (sodium cyanide) while performing laboratory operations. The employer failed to provide the required information and training to apprise the employees of the chemical hazards present in the work area.
