29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At commercial construction job site located at 740 NW Blue Parkway, Lees Summit, MO. Employee was exposed to serious injuries, in that the unprotected sides and edges of the elevated work area was not provided with guardrails or any other means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to an approximately 17 ft. fall hazard to the surface below.
