29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) Jobsite: Employer did not ensure employees wore eye protection when operating a pneumatic nail gun, thus exposing employees to enucleation hazards.    This condition was observed/noted on/about 05 APR 2018.

29 CFR 1926.416(e)(1): Worn or frayed electric cords or cables shall not be used.  a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that worn or frayed electrical cords were not used on the jobsite, thus exposing employees to electrical shock hazards. Employees used a Dewalt handheld circular saw with a frayed electrical cord during framing activities.   This condition was noted/observed on/about 05 APR 2018.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that employees conducting framing operations on the second level of the building were protected by a fall protection system, thus exposing them to fall hazards of 9 feet to the lower level.  b) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that employees conducting framing operations on the third level of the building were protected by a fall protection system, thus exposing them to fall hazards of approximately 25 feet to the lower level.  This condition was observed on/about 04 APR 2018.
