29 CFR 1910.102(a): In-plant transfer, handling, storage, and/or use of acetylene in cylinders did not comply with the provisions of CGA Pamphlet G-1-2009 ("Acetylene"): a) 2006 Dodge Sprinter - On or about May 9, 2018 and times prior thereto, an acetylene cylinder was stored within the cargo area of a work van which did not have adequate ventilation to prevent a hazardous accumulation of a flammable atmosphere from a leaking cylinder. b) 2006 Dodge Sprinter - On or about May 9, 2018 and times prior thereto, an acetylene compressed gas cylinder was stored next to potential sources of heat such as, but not limited to, highly combustible materials such as a 5-gallon gasoline can and gasoline powered equipment. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
