29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:    a. On or about May 9, 2018, employees using nail guns and saws were not wearing eye protection and were being exposed to eye injuries.      Garcia Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1129929, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on August 22, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4904 SW 58th Place, Ocala, FL 34480.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):    a. On or about May 9, 2018, roof area, the employee of GMH Construction, Inc. was sheathing a 6:12 pitch roof was not protected from falling up to a 29 feet fall hazard by the use of a fall protection system.      b. On or about May 9, 2018, stairs leading to second floor, did not have a guardrail system, exposing employees to a 10 feet fall hazard.     Garcia Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1129929, citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on August 22, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4904 SW58th Place, Ocala, FL 34480.    Garcia Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1014642, citation number 001, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on February 12, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1645 Spinfish Drive, Apopka, FL 32712.
