29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):     a) Worksite, 194 Montauk Hwy, Southampton, NY, south side roof of residence - An employee was observed working approximately 2ft. from the edge of the 11/12 pitch residential roof, approximately 9ft. from the ground below. The employee was not protected from falling, on or about 5/10/2018.    b) Worksite, 194 Montauk Hwy, Southampton, NY, north side roof of residence - Employees were observed working approximately 2ft from  the edge of the residential roof, approximately 19ft. from the ground below. The employees were not protected from falling, on or about 5/10/2018.    Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a) Worksite, 194 Montauk Hwy, Southampton, NY - Employees installing roofing materials on a residential home were working at heights approximately 9 - 19ft. to the ground below and were not protected from falling.
