29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Other substances -- 8-hour Time Weighted Averages. An employee's exposure to any substance in Table Z-1, the exposure limit of which is not preceded by a "C", shall not exceed the 8-hour Time Weighted Average given for that substance any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week. (A) An employee's exposure to substances in Table Z-1 exceeded the 8-hour Time Weighted average (TWA). AZZ WSI LLC in Suwanee GA - The employer failed to ensure that employee exposures did not exceed the 8 hour time weighted average (TWA) permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 1 mg/m3 for nickel on or about May 9, 2018. a. An employee welding on the scaffolds, exceeded the action level of 1 mg/m3. The exposure was derived from a sample taken over 488 minutes at pump rate of 2.01 L/min (Sampling conducted on 7/11/18).
