29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59)  On or about 3/2/2018 at Brookmere Place, Lot 192, Johns Creek, GA - Employees were handling mortar, cement, sand, chipped stone, gasoline, and oil. The mortar used ingredients which contained Portland cement and silica quartz.  The chipped stone and sand also contain silica. A written hazard communication program was not developed and implemented.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

The mortar used ingredients which contained Portland cement and silica quartz.  The chipped stone and sand also contain silica.  Safety data sheets (SDS) were not maintained for employees review.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
