29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) At the carport - an employee was welding using a wood plank as work platform. The plank was on top of two I-beams. The plank came off of one of the I-beams and the employee fell to the ground approximately 25 feet, on or about 5/10/18.
