29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about May 7, 2018, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not provide effective machine guards to the following equipment, exposing the employees to the hazards of being caught in rotating parts and/or moving parts and severe burns: a. In the Heat Press Area, the Powerpak Century Sealing Machine Serial #1701, the three guard covers along the sides did not effectively prevent entry into the danger areas. b. In the Heat Press Area, the Powerpak Century Sealing Machine Serial #1722, the three guard covers along the sides did not effectively prevent entry into the danger areas.
