29 CFR 1915.111(a): All gear and equipment provided by the employer for rigging and materials handling was not inspected before each shift and when necessary, at intervals during its use to ensure that it is safe. On or about 5/15/18 in the backyard located at 432 Bayshore Drive, Many, Louisiana, the employer allowed employees to use a 3", 20' to 30' long synthetic (nylon) web sling with broken and worn stitches for hoisting a 5500 pound work boat approximately three feet above the heads of employees painting the bottom of the boat.
