29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) At the jobsite, on or about May 10, 2018, an employee working on a roof while installing tar paper (roofing felt) was exposed to open trusses and exposed leading edges without fall protection provided, exposing the employee to fall hazards of up to 31 feet onto the earthen ground (outside the structure) or 18.4 feet onto the concrete floor (inside the structure). a) At the jobsite, on or about May 10, 2018, an employee working on a roof while installing tar paper (roofing felt) was exposed to an unprotected roof opening without fall protection provided, exposing the employee to fall hazards of up to 11 feet onto the wood flooring (inside the structure).
