29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:    a) Facility, Battery Charging Area: An eye wash or body drenching station, which provides at least 15 minutes of a continuous flow, was not provided where employees add water to the batteries of the forklift, on or about 5/17/2018.    b) Facility, Production: An eye wash or body drenching station, which provides at least 15 minutes of a continuous flow, was not provided where employees work with chlorinated degreaser which is a corrosive and Pure Bright Bleach which is also a corrosive, on or about 5/17/2018.      NOTE:  THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting:    (a) Facility: The employer failed to provide a training program which incorporated the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting to employees who are expected to use a portable fire extinguisher in the event of an incipient stage fire, on or about 5/17/2018.    BY THIS DATE THE EMPLOYER MUST EITHER CORRECT THE ALLEGED VIOLATION(S) OR IMPLEMENT A FIRE SAFETY POLICY, AS OUTLINED IN 29 CFR 1910.38 WHICH INCLUDES THE EVACUATION REQUIREMENTS OF 29 CFR 1910.157(b).    NOTE:  THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
