29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: On or about May 23, 2018, the employer did not administer a hearing conservation program for employees, including noise monitoring, audiometric testing and training, whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent. a) A painter was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 87.5 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of 71.2%, and had not conducted noise monitoring, provided audiometric testing or provided training. b) A punch press operator was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 91.2 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of 119%, and had not conducted noise monitoring, provided audiometric testing or provided training. c) A grinder was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 91.2 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of 118.2%, and had not conducted noise monitoring, provided audiometric testing or provided training. d) A welder was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 89.3 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of 90.7%, and had not conducted noise monitoring, provided audiometric testing or provided training.
