In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(ii): Each platform greater than 10 feet in length shall not extend over its support more than 18 inches (46 cm), unless it is designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilevered end:     a)  630 14th St., NE, Street Exposure - On or about May 8, 2018, two carpenters were exposed to a 30 foot fall from a 24 foot fabricated scaffold platform which projected 6 feet over its last horizontal support of a pump jack scaffold platform's south end and 4 feet over its last horizontal support on the platform's north end.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. Nicol Construction, LLC, dba. as Nichol Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158615, citation number 1, item number 2c and was affirmed as a final order on 10-04-2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1012 St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20005.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
