29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about May 31, 2018; roof area; employees that were installing shingles were not properly tied off exposing them to a fall hazard of 35-40 feet. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.503(b)(1): 29 CFR 1926.503(b)(1): The employer did not verify compliance with paragraph (a) of this section by preparing a written (training) certification record including the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training or when employer relied on training conducted by another employer, the certification record needs to indicate the date the employer determined the prior training was adequate rather than the date of actual training, and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer. a) On or about May 31, 2018; roof area; the employer did not certify that fall protection training had been provided to employees that were exposed to fall hazards greater than 6 feet. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
