29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent): a) On or about 06-04-2018 and times prior thereto located at Navy Exchange Service Command Distribution Center, 1000 Kenyon Court Suffolk, VA 23434, located in multiple areas of the "picking lines", employees were exposed to falls from heights of 8 feet 3 inches on the second level and 9 feet 5 inches above ground at the third level from unguarded work platforms where pallets were loaded and unloaded. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): 29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points: a) On or about 06-04-2018 and times prior thereto located at Navy Exchange Service Command Distribution Center, 1000 Kenyon Court Suffolk, VA 23434, located on the workroom floor, employees were exposed to electrical hazards from a 110 VAC electrical cord that was crimped inside the door jam crease of a metal storage cabinet. Electrical cords from a television and laptop computer passed through the door closure to provide power to both pieces of equipment. *CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION* Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
