The temporary employees performed sanitation operations on machinery that includes but is not limited to: Thompson Grinder 6600, Thompson Band saw/meat cutter, Econoseal wrapper Machine, Cartoner machine, etc., occurred on or about 05/08/2018.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Thomas Food International - Band saws area: Temporary employees are exposed to amputations while using the Meat cutter band saw, machine #400, S/N 400-M4-06 with an unguarded saw while the employees cut meat and bone. The employees were not using a guard or any other methods to prevent their fingers from getting close to the point of operation, observed on or about 05/08/2018.
