29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about June 05, 2018, at the south side of the construction site where employees were exposed to a fall hazard when using an extension ladder to access a roof without extending the ladder side rails at least three feet above the upper landing surface.

On or about June 05, 2018, on the construction site where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet when performing framing work without a fall protection system. J C FRAMING, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 989739 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 01/30/2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 201 BUDDY GANEM RD., PORTLAND, TX 78374.
