29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) On or about June 5, 2018 or prior thereto: Fall protection was not utilized during installation of a guard rail system around the perimeter of the third floor deck of the Triplex being constructed. Employees were exposed to a potential fall distance of 20 feet. b) On or about June 5, 2018 or prior thereto: Fall protection was not utilized during installation of floor hole covers on the third floor deck of the Triplex being constructed. Employees were exposed to a floor hole of approximately 3 feet by 4 feet, and a potential fall distance of 20 feet. NOTE: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.
