29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Jobsite: The employee extending the eves of the existing roof line was not protected from fall hazards by the use of appropriate fall protection systems/devices. On 13 June 2018, the employee fell approximately 15 feet to the ground while performing the above task. The employee was found unconscious and transported to a local hospital.
