29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to lead for more than eight -8 hours during the work day in excess of the reduced permissible exposure limit: This violation occurred in the shooting range of the Bullet Trap LLC facility where one (1) employee who worked for more than eight hours was exposed to airborne lead levels greater than the reduced permissible exposure limit of 40 micrograms per cubic meter of air. (a) In the shooting range of the Bullet Trap LLC facility where air monitoring conducted on August 19, 2018 during a 10-hour work shift indicated that a sales staff member was exposed to airborne lead concentrations of 61.1 micrograms per cubic meter of air which exceeded the reduced Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 40 micrograms per cubic meter of air.

29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(6)(iii): Where the initial monitoring revealed that employee exposure to lead was above the permissible exposure limit, monitoring was not repeated at least quarterly and continued at the required frequency until at least two consecutive measurements taken at least 7 days apart were below the PEL and at or above the action level: (a) In the Bullet Trap LLC facility where the employer had not conducted air monitoring at least quarterly after an initial determination on April 5, 2016 had revealed employees were exposed to lead at or above the permissible exposure limit of 50 micrograms per cubic meter.

29 CFR 1910.1025(m)(2)(i): The employer did not post warning signs in each work area where the permissible exposure limit was exceeded: (a) In the Bullet Trap LLC facility where the employer did not post warning signs in the firing range where employees were exposed to lead in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL). Bullet Trap LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1025(m)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1127037, citation number 1 item 10 and was affirmed as a final order on August 23, 2018.
