OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck-by and crush-by hazards while repairing the AS 9780 air spring beneath a bas.   a) At the Myakka City, Florida jobsite an agriculture worker, hired to perform produce picking, was exposed to a struck-by hazard when employer allowed the employee to leave picking duties to perform heavy duty mechanical repairs beneath a Type C school bus (USDOT 2415838FL) with a weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds, without verifying employees training and or ability to replace an air spring. The AS 9780 air spring exploded striking employee on the leg causing serious injury on or about 6/2/2018.
