29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms and walking-working surfaces were not kept clean, orderly and in sanitary condition: a) National Paint Industries/North Brunswick, NJ- Production Area/Poly Mixing Room: The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces, located in the paint mixing area were kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Employees walked and worked in area where powder and flammable paint was spilled on the floor. Condition observed on or about June 25, 2018.

29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): a) National Paint Industries/North Brunswick, NJ- Production Area/Warehouse: The employer authorized the use of forklifts with visible defects and in need of repair. Employees operated forklifts including but not limited to Komatsu with missing propane locator pins and safety latches, damaged safety belts and missing name plates. Condition observed on or about June 25, 2018.
