29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s):  a) Meat Room: The horizontal meat mixer was not adequately guarded to prevent access to the point of operation in that the two hand electrical control switches were not functioning properly (left switch not operational) and an employee sustained a severe injury when his hand was caught in the mixing paddles, on or about June 22, 2018.  Abatement Observed During Inspection.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There were damaged parts that adversely affected safe operation or mechanical strength of electric equipment, such as parts that were broken, bent, cut or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating:  a) Meat Room: The two hand electrical control switches on the horizontal meat mixer were not functioning properly in that the left control switch was not operational and an employee sustained a severe injury when his hand was caught in the mixing paddles, on or about June 22, 2018.  Abatement Observed During Inspection.
