29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 4436 San Miguel, Colorado Springs: On or about June 20, 2018, and at times prior, workers were exposed to falling hazards while using a ladder that extended less that one foot above the landing level. Abatement Note: The employer corrected the condition during the inspection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about June 20, 2018, and at times prior, workers were exposed to falling from heights ranging from 9 to 13 feet from a residential roof. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet). JC Ramirez Construction, a sole proprietorship, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 988503, citation number 01, item number 002, and was affirmed as a final order on July 27, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 356 Mount view Ln, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
