29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: ATO5 JOHNFERED On, or about July 12, 2018, the employer failed to designate a competent person to daily inspect slings, fastenings and attachments for damage an defects. A one inch, polyester, TUFF EDGE (EN 1-801T), 4 FT sling, was in use with visible areas of worn and snagged yarn fibers.
