29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: a) del-Best Contracting/University Courtyard Apartment - On or about June 27, 2018, the employer failed to ensure employees, operating a Genie S-45 Telescoping Boom Lift to replace windows throughout the complex, were protected from ejection hazards by the use of a fall restraint system or personal fall arrest system. Abatement Note: An employer may comply with OSHA's fall protection requirements for aerial lifts in one of three ways: Use of a body belt with a tether anchored to the boom or basket (fall restraint system), Use of a body harness with a tether (fall restraint system), or Use of a body harness with a lanyard (fall arrest system).
