29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): Non-working portion(s) of the blade of band saw(s) were not enclosed or guarded:  On or about 06-25-2018 and times prior thereto, located at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway. Chantilly, VA 20151, Condition: Employee(s) were exposed to unguarded unused portions of a DoALL Contour-Matic 36 inch vertical band saw blade located in the Restoration Shop.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points:  On or about 06-25-2018 and times prior thereto, located at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway. Chantilly, VA 20151, Condition: Employee(s) were exposed to electrical hazards temporary electrical cords running through holes in the metal deck plate openings going into the subfloor electrical/utility trough.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
