29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about June 29, 2018, the Jet Horizontal/Vertical Band Saw, serial #16005F00580 was used by employees to cut fabricated steel pipes and the employer did not ensure the saw was adequately guarded. A portion of the blade on the adjustment side of the saw was unguarded.
