29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) On July 3, 2018, and at times prior, for employees who were exposed to struck-by hazards while using a DeWalt grinder where the tongue guards were used approximately half an inch from the wheel in the Service Shop at or near 4020 Miriam Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota. (b) On July 3, 2018, and at times prior, for employees who were exposed to struck-by hazards while using a Jet grinder where the tongue guards were used approximately half an inch from the wheel in the Service Shop at or near 4020 Miriam Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota.
