29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). Jobsite: On or about July 10, 2018 an employee was observed working in an excavation at a depth of approximately five feet and seven inches (5' 7") with out the protection of sloping, benching and/or engineering controls such as a trench box or shoring.
