29 CFR 1910.1200(h): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) and -2 on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard was introduced in the workplace. (a) P.E. Guerin Inc., Throughout the facility employees are exposed to the hazards of chemicals. The chemicals include, but are not limited to, Ammonium Hydroxide, Potassium Sodium Tartrate, Nitric Acid, and Copper Cyanide. The chemicals are used during different stages of the manufacturing of brass and/or copper hardware. The condition was noted at or around 08/10/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
