(b) The Bridgeport Milling Machine (Series I) was missing its drill guard.  (c) The VBS Vertical Bandsaw (Model 350) was missing its blade guard.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel:  On or about July 12, 2018, in the shop, the employer allowed employees to operate a pedestal grinder, which was missing its tongue guard, to sharpen drill bits, exposing them to the hazard of being struck by flying fragments in the event the abrasive wheel shattered during grinding operations.
