Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about July 17, 2018, at the construction site located at Lot 46 Kelburn Lane NW, Pickerington, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on a roof of a two story residential home with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and approximately 20 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard. b. On or about July 17, 2018, at the construction site located at Lot 46 Kelburn Lane NW, Pickerington, Ohio, employees were performing framing work on the second story floor level of a two story residential home at approximately 10 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard. Sabino Rodriguez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1177552 citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1865 Southchase Court, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Sabino Rodriguez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1095907, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 6, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1616 Woodland Hall Drive, Delaware, OH 43015.
