29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Commercial property at 350 Haddon Ave, in Haddonfield, NJ, 08033, on the framing of the new portion of the building (center of facility): The employer failed to perform frequent and regular inspections using a person competent in the regulations and hazard recognition resulting in employee exposure to a fall hazard approximately 10 feet from the ground when employees performed framing operations on a metal beam without any means of fall protection that could result in simple fractures, which occurred and was observed on or about 7/26/18. NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
