Framers were observed installing framing materials and working at height. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 20 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: At the residential construction site located at 1000 E Elm Street in Springfield MO: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed accessing and egressing the roof by way of a portable ladder that did not extend 3 feet past landing. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 20 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.
