29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a) Near Gate D-10 Philadelphia International Airport - On February 28, 2018, the employer did not ensure that an employee operating a JLG Brand 450AJ Series II Aerial Lift was instructed in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions. The employee was exposed to crushing injuries when another vehicle struck the aerial lift. b) The Citation is reclassified as an other-than-serious violation. c) The total penalty for the Citation is reduced to $7,125
