29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Plastics Area: On or about August 1, 2018 the employer did not ensure that machine guarding was provided on the Challenge Paper Drilling Machine Serial Number 2517 to protect employees from the rotating drill bit.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: (a) Lettering/Assembly Area: On or about August 1, 2018 the guard on the Delta Drill Press Serial Number 155137W5043 was adjusted away from the drill such that the employee could make contact with the rotating drill bit at the point of operation.
