29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: a) On or about July 27, 2018, and at times prior, A Greer Roofing, as the exposing employer, did not protect employees on a walking/working surface with an unprotected edge from fall hazards in excess of 15 feet which resulted in an employee falling over 16 feet to the ground. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
