29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(i): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury was not guarded or designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: (a) BACON ROOM, LINE 3 - Employees removed bacon ends from the tray below the area where the bacon is sliced, and the bottom of the rotating blade was not protected from contact, which thereby exposed employees to amputation hazards, on or about July 31, 2018. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
