(a) An employee conducting siding installation from a ladder jack scaffold was not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall height of approximately 13 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) An employee conducting work on the second floor patio deck was not protected from falling to the next lower level. This exposed the employee to a fall height of approximately 11 8/10 feet.
