29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iii): Splices. Flexible cords were not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Hard service flexible cords No. 12 or larger were not repaired so that the splice retains the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced: location: interior hallway on or about: 8/2/18 a) A spliced extension cord was used to power temporary lighting. There was approximately six inches of the inner wires exposed. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The stairway, with 23 risers, did not have a handrail.
