29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): All portions of the saw blade were not enclosed or guarded, except for the working portion of the blade between the bottom of the guide rolls and the table. Logistics Readiness Squadron, Bay B Area: A Northfield heavy duty vertical band saw was not guarded at the point of operation to protect employees from flying wood fragments or caught-in hazards. The employees were exposed to amputation hazards.
