The container was exposed to forklift traffic and potential breakage and spill. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1910.176(a): Where mechanical handling equipment was used, sufficient safe clearances were not allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways or wherever turns or passage had to be made: a) Plant - On or about 08/06/18 and at times prior thereto the employer stored a plastic drum of Surfox-T (corrosive liquid) between the emergency exit door and the loading gate. The container was exposed to forklift traffic and potential breakage and spill.
