29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about August 6, 2018, at this Tortilleria manufacturing facility, employees worked with corrosive chemicals in the tortilla manufacturing process and were not provided with an adequate safety eye wash and safety shower station. The La Original Tortilla Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1174011, Citation 1, Item 1, and was issued on September 28, 2016, and was affirmed as a final order on October 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 302 Profit Drive, Victoria, TX 77901.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: On or about August 6, 2018, at this Tortilleria manufacturing facility, employees engaged in tortilla manufacturing were exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as but not limited to, Especial 2 Preservative, Proforce Oven Grill & Fryer Cleaner, and Proforce Floor Cleaner & Degreaser. The employer had not implemented a hazard communication program which would address labeling and other forms of warning on chemical containers, Safety Data Sheets, and employee information and training on the hazards associated with chemicals used on this site. The written program must also contain the following: 1. A list of all hazardous chemicals on site; 2. The methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards associated with non-routine tasks involving chemicals, such as a spill; 3. The hazards of chemicals contained in piping that is not labeled; and, 4. The method the employer will use to inform other employers (contractors) of the chemicals their employees might be exposed to while performing duties a this site. The La Original Tortilla Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1174011, Citation 2, Item 3, and was issued on September 28, 2016, and was affirmed as a final order on October 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 302 Profit Drive, Victoria, TX 77901.
